Sister Hood

    The objective for this project was to create a design or service for Topshop that I would have to pitch to their store manger and visual team. After forecasting and predicting coming trends in correlation with qualitative research on the Cardiff high street I finally decided to curate ‘Sister Hood’ a fun Feminist and traditional home ware brand that offers an intimate and real relationship with its customers. Inspired by the creative curator etsy vibe and the constant feminism features we see in the media and social platforms I begun designing. I chose a monochrome base as it can be seen as clean, classy and subtle, and generally not subjective to one taste. I created 4 pillow case designs featuring catchy symbolic quotes. I wanted to promote a healthy image that could be showcased through the home, a mindfulness and appreciation towards women and encourage the strictly sensitive subject to be outspoken using humour. I predominatley aimed the brand towards female students in Cardiff who want luxury living for less with a quality and ethos that had a homemade touch. 

    The brand is the first step to achieving positive vibes illuminated through homeware and lifestyle. 

Below I have showcased my design process, choosing the right font was important as I wanted it be personal to the customers needs. 

During this project I also had to prepare a marketing campaign and forecast its estimated success over a 3 month-1year period, a range plan and social platforms to promote the brands image. I attained a 1st for this project.
